GUÈRA’s STUDIO
GUÈRA’s STUDIO
Located in a small Swiss town called Roveredo, the Guèra Studio serves as the rehearsal room for me and my friends. Step by step it has been modified and equipped, to the point where it is able to deliver good quality recording conditions. In fact, in my own experience, recording a Garage band in the Guèra Studio is the best possible quality one can have without going to a professional recording Studio.
The space of the studio is divided into three parts: A Control Room, a Drums Live Room, and a Main Live Room, which contains the majority of our equipment. The core of the studio is a wonderful Soundcraft TS12 console (’86) with unlimited routing capabilities. A offboard rack complete the analogue part of the studio. Digital main unit of the studio is a MOTU 24I/O interface connected to a gorgeous MacPro running my favorite DAW: LogicPro. The studio wiring is designed to allow six independent monitor mixes for the performers.
One may ask:
“is it really necessary to have so much equipment for a garage band!?”
I say:
Oh Yeah! My idea is to at all cost avoid the sentence:
“I CAN’T HEAR YOU, THE DRUMS ARE TOO LOUD!!!”
